My College Foundation

Many students when they go to college are sure of what their major is and hope to graduate with it. For me right now there are many subjects that interest me, but they are all categorized in the same subject, science.

The many different areas from biology interest me since the subject has always been fascinating to me. Psychology is the other subject that interest, me because the way that the human brain function and how it varies from person to person is very intriguing. In college I also want to take a class about ethics since I want to be in the medical health field I want to have better knowledge about the different types of people I am going to deal with.

Since I will be the first in my family to go to college I might want to take a class about Mexican history. Even though I am going to be a more educated person I do not want to leave my culture behind me because even though I might not show how important to me it is right now in the future it will be.

Pre-collegiate is helping me out all out because now after a week being in the program I can see that college is challenging and you need to step up the game. The program is the foundation for my further education as well as the other students in the program.

When I go to college I will be prepared ready to go because this program is helping to achieve the expectations of the college professors. For this program I have learned to manage my time wisely, a skill that I have not developed in high school and now I have accomplished it. I was like a baby that learned how to walk before I could even walk.

Now I am ready for the month left of summer and my senior year. I am going to be prepared for high school as well as college since I have developed new skills in the pre-collegiate program. I as so thankful I am in this program because it is the foundation of my future.

  1. Ana,
You have a great set of interests that could lead to a very fulfilling career! College is a lot of work but, you're right, time management is a big part of the battle. I know I really struggled my first year because of my poor time management skills. Oh, I will also say that I think the majority of college students are unsure of their major their first year and do a bit of moving around until they find their passion. The fact that you've already narrowed your interest puts you well ahead of the curve! Good luck in the rest of your program!
